My Life is an Open Book Rambling Post #150426:
Kevin's life
with social anxiety, spontaneous
activities edition: Hey, I think I am
going to go to a movie. Who should I ask? Hmm, they just started dating,
so probably not them. Is this the weekend he has the kids? I know they
aren't keen on spontaneity. He'll just think I want more than a movie.
I've never heard from her after I asked her to a movie
the last time we went so probably shouldn't text her. Have they ever
randomly texted me for a movie? I could go on my own, but it would be
neat to have a human connection. Forget it, Netflix and the couch are
here.
Kevin's life with social anxiety, planned ahead events:
Crap, I said I would go. Is it going to be a milling around social? How
many people are going to be there? Is it going to be too loud? Are they
just asking me, to be nice, to give an air of caring? If I go by myself,
how many people who know me are going to ask why I didn't invite them?
Ugh, I am exhausted from work, but I said I would go, and if I don't
they will just chastise me for saying I never get invited. Is there
enough Xanax?
Kevin's life with social anxiety, life edition:
Just grow up and quit being such a baby. Do you really think you need to
let people know? Where's this strength in Christ you always flaunt?
Meh.
